Songs of My Land
A production featuring the music and dance from different regions of India.
A land of dozens of languages and thousands of dialects, a cradle of civilization that arose five millennia ago, a vast people of many colors, creeds, beliefs, and ways of life; India's diversity flowers forth perhaps most exquisitely in its many art forms. In this land, ancient classical music and dance thrive harmoniously next to colorful folk traditions, and contemporary and experimental forms. Join SIMA for this unique event, as we celebrate the music and dance of various parts of India through performances by Penn State students, former and present, and by members of the Penn State community.
